How to get FreeDyn?

  • 1) Download FreeDyn_2017_02
    2) Please note that FreeDyn has been developed for Windows 7 (x64).
    It has been reported that FreeDyn works for Windows XP and 8.1 as well.
    3) FreeDyn can be used under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence 3.0 (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/)
    4) Extract it into your directory X:\WhateverYouWant\
    (never use spaces in the name of the directory!!!)
    5) Create a link to X:\WhateverYouWant\bin\FreeDyn_GUI.exe and move the link to the location where you want to start FreeDyn. This could be, e.g., the Desktop.
  • What is FreeDyn2Scilab?

    • FreeDyn2Scilab was developed during the PROTOFRAME project (http://www.modelbaseddesign.at/projects/protoframe/27-2/). It is an interface between the free multibody simulation code FreeDyn and Scilab (www.scilab.org).
  • How to get FreeDyn2Scilab?

    • 1) Download FreeDyn2Scilab_2017_02.zip
      2) Please note that FreeDyn has been developed and tested for Windows 7 (x64-SP1).
      3) FreeDyn2Scilab can be used under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence 3.0 (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/)
      4) Extract it into your directory X:\WhateverYouWant\ (avoid spaces)
      5) Be sure, that Scilab (www.scilab.org) is installed
      5) Go to X:\WhateverYouWant\FreeDyn2Scilab_2017_02\demo\demo1 and double click main.sce
      6) Run and study the example. The available access functions are contained in the h-file in: X:\WhateverYouWant\FreeDyn2Scilab_2017_02\dll_include
